Directorate of Enforcement CDA Islamabad continued its operation against illegal encroachment in Sector I-8 Markaz and demolished 12 temporary huts, 8 bath rooms and 2 kitchen, constructed for labourers by a private construction firm on a land of two commercial plazas. 

Illegal construction of sheds in the sector of I-11-4 were raised to the ground by the said Directorate. 

Also CDA took action in sectors of G-6-2, G-9-4, G-10, F-8-2, I&T Center Sector G-7 and captured encroached luggage of 6 Trucks.

Sind High Court during a hearing issued an order to stop further construction in the name of Creek Terrace and Creek View and asked commnets of DHA whether it is welfare project or not?

Order for stoppage of construction is issued on an application filed by  Zahid ullah Khan, a resident of DHA phase VIII.

Development work in CDA sector I-11, opened some 23 years earlier, is stopped due to two issues, non-availability of funds and non possession of the land. Thousands allottees are desperate and scared of this situation.

CDA awarded contract of construction of roads in I-11-1&2  for 

Rs.186 Millions with a dead line for completion of work as March 2013. There are two big problem: a) Afghan refugees have not been removed from I-11-1 and b)15 % land of sector I-11-2 is still in occupation of local populace.

Minister of Housing and construction has said that a housing scheme will be prepared to meet the requirement of houses for low income citizens. He stressed upon dire need of houses for poor people and intimated that shortage of 500,000 houses will be tackled in next 5 years.

Supreme Court, in its verdict, has cancelled the contract between DHA and Evacuee Trust due to maligned financial designs over the sale of Land on biased rates which resulted into heavy loss to Government. SC ordered to take legal action against Ex Chairman Evacuee Trust Board, Asif Hashmi and other responsible persons.
